Is the “Holosync Technology” used in the Mind Aerobics Products the same as that from Centerpointe Technology Inc?

Yes, Mind Aerobics is the only accredited licensee of the Holosync® system from Centerpointe Technology.
 
What kind of headphones and CD player should I use?

Any stereo headphones and CD player will work (it is necessary to use stereo headphones), though obviously the better the quality of the equipment, the better the sound quality. Equipment quality will not change the effectiveness of the sound technology, so it is not necessary to spend a lot of money on equipment.
 
Do I need to use headphones?

Yes. The sound technology used in these products is dependent on specific frequencies or messages being placed in each ear, and targets certain parts of the brain.  Stereo separation is absolutely necessary. Listening over speakers is ineffective because the sound will bounce all over the room, failing to create synchronization in the brain. Always use headphones.
 
Can I listen to the programs while I do other things?

It is best to listen to the Mind Aerobics Basic Workout soundtrack sitting or lying down, eyes closed. If you wish to have a second listening session on a given day, you could then listen while doing some other task, but always perform at least one session exactly as the directions indicate.

Since the soundtracks put you in an altered state, never listen while driving or operating equipment.

The Super Stress Release soundtrack can be listened to in the same manner as the Basic Workout (you'll get best results this way) or it can be listened to while doing other things.   Again, however, never listen while driving or operating equipment.

Super Focus and Concentration is designed to be listened to while doing tasks requiring focus and concentration, such as computer work, reading, and studying.
 
What happens if I miss a day with the Mind Aerobics Basic Workout, or if I cannot use it for several days?

Listening every day is optimum, but sometimes that’s just not possible. Missing a day is okay, and you should adjust your use to fit your lifestyle. If you can only listen to it five times a week, or every other day, you will still receive benefits from Mind Aerobics®.
 
How long can I listen to the programs?

Listening for extended time periods to the Basic Workout can give the brain too much input, bringing up an uncomfortable amount of unresolved unconscious material to the surface – just like too much exercise can cause temporary discomfort to your body.

The Super Focus and Concentration soundtrack is designed to be listened to for extended periods, such as while reading, working, or studying.

The Super Stress Release soundtrack can be listened to several times each day, if you like, but this soundtrack, too, could be overdone if listened to for several hours in a row.

It is not a good idea to listen to the audio sessions at night during sleep because they could interfere with your normal sleep cycle by holding your brain wave patterns in one state, instead of allowing them to change as needed during sleep.
 
Does it matter if I fall asleep while listening?

No. In fact, it is very common in the beginning to nod off while listening to the Basic Workout or Super Stress Release. The soundtracks are taking you into a delta brain wave pattern in the Basic Workout, and into a theta brain wave pattern with Super Stress Release, both of which are brain wave patterns of sleep.

During this time your brain is also making a lot of very relaxing neurochemicals, including endorphins, which can make you fall asleep. As the brain reorganizes you will gain the ability to remain alert throughout.

Falling asleep is one of many signs that the brain is being pushed. Whether you are awake or asleep, though, the Holosync technology is affecting the brain and falling asleep will not diminish its effectiveness.

With Super Focus and Concentration, it is less likely that you would fall asleep as a result of the soundtracks. We strongly discourage you from listening to any of the soundtracks during sleep at night. (See previous question).
 
Can I listen to the audio sessions while driving?

No. Since the sound technologies can create altered states, it is not a good idea to listen while driving or operating equipment.
 
What is the best time of day to listen to the products?

The time of day that you listen to the soundtracks is a matter of personal preference. Some people like to listen in the morning just after getting up. Others like to listen right after work to revive themselves after a hard day. Others like to listen later in the evening, before bed.

We do recommend, however, establishing a set time of day so your listening session becomes a habit, like brushing your teeth. Obviously some products are meant for use at specific times – such as Super Focus and Concentration soundtrack, which is used for learning, reading, or working at a computer. However, others can be used any time you deem necessary.
 
 
I'm really pressed for time. Can I listen to the Mind Aerobics Basic Workout or Super Stress Release as I fall asleep at night?

Yes. Many people listen while falling asleep. The technology will still be affecting the brain, even if you fall asleep part way through. Be sure if you have an auto-reverse or auto-repeat setting to turn it off, since listening all night or even for several hours at a time (except for the Super Focus & Concentration track, which is designed for extended use) is not a good idea.
 
Sometimes I feel antsy while listening to the Basic Workout. What does that mean?

It means that something in the unconscious mind is being stirred up and is manifesting as physical discomfort. Usually this is minor and quickly passes, after which people generally feel a sense of positive change having taken place or of something being resolved emotionally.

In the rare case that any uncomfortable feeling persists, take a few days off and wait until you feel better before listening again. These feelings are the mental and emotional equivalent of sore muscles for a runner. Of course, if you are experiencing chronic pain on a regular basis and are concerned, please consult a qualified health professional.
 
Are there any subliminal messages on the Mind Aerobics programs?

There are no subliminal messages on the Mind Aerobics® 1-5 series. All of the effects are due to the interaction of the Holosync sound technology (which carries no actual "information") with your nervous system. There are no spoken messages of any kind.

The Autofonix™ series do include subliminal messages.  The messages that are on those soundtracks are listed on the cover of each soundtrack.
 
I have hearing loss. Will the products work on me?

As long as you have some hearing, they will work. In addition, you do not need to have equal hearing in each ear. Any hearing in one ear will be enough. People have even reported results when the hearing was entirely by bone conduction.
 
How will this technology effect health problems I may have?

To the extent that a health problem is caused by stress or by some kind of unresolved mental or emotional material in the unconscious mind, we have found that the technology can be very effective in improving certain health conditions. However, you should always rely on your physician for medical advice and these programs are in no way being presented as a treatment for any medical condition.
 
How long will it take to see results?

The timeline of results varies from person to person.  Some people see results almost immediately, while other take a few months.  Mind Aerobics is not a “30-day miracle,” but rather a steady improvement in mental abilities and mental health, just as regular physical exercise gives you a steady improvement in physical stamina.  Be patient, use the soundtracks every day if possible, and you will see results.
